‘The Hatch’ (directed by Nick Willis) is a student animated short that I worked on in 2006. This was probably my earliest opportunity to experiment with sound design and really creative synth programming. The sparse and stark environment of the film’s setting also helped me work creatively with reverbs and ambiences, something that has become integral to my recent work.
